Do you have a flair for the dramatic? Have a sense of humor, like to make others laugh or cry? Do you have what it takes to command the stage or become the next big star?​​​

Our Theater Performance Camp captivates aspiring young actors and musical theater performers, sparking a curiosity and fueling a desire to reach their dreams.

Students entering grades 6­-12 will collaborate with STH Theater Director Dan Green who owns more than twenty years experience leading acclaimed STH productions, including recent performances of The Three Musketeers, The Addams Family Musical, West Side Story, Oklahoma!, Macbeth, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast and The Mouse That Roared.

The nine­-day highly orchestrated workshop focuses on having fun while stretching the performing talents of artists of all levels culminating in an exciting summer showcase.

This rewarding one-week camp for students entering grades 6-12 focuses on Public Forum Debate and is designed by acclaimed college preparatory faculty members to enhance basic oratory skills such as pacing, articulation and body language, all fundamental elements to deliver speeches and debate clearly, concisely and persuasively.

Whether a novice or experienced debater, all students are instructed with effective debate strategies rooted in logic and critical thinking, research and analysis, leadership and teamwork, rebuttals and summary.

The goal is for all campers to take ownership of their intellectual development, learn to read an audience and use creativity to persuade, as well as better express thoughts in academic work and college applications.

St. Thomas has assembled a team of renown instructors with deep expertise who have mentored award-winning results from the National Speech and Debate Association, Tournament of Champions, National Catholic Forensic League, Texas Forensics Association and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.

There’s no debate – gaining a greater command as a public speaker and the power of debate are increasingly valuable strengths for lifelong success. Let’s get started!

Partnering with the acclaimed Texas Quiz Bowl Alliance and designed to make each and every camper a better and brighter academic competitor.

Well-rounded, naturally curious students from a wide spectrum of experience and abilities participate in individual, team and subject-specific buzzer tournaments,  mostly fielding questions drawn from academic subjects spanning history, geography, science, and humanities with dashes of sports and pop culture.

Who stole the legendary St. Thomas mascot Tom Eagle?

There are several suspects, each with a compelling motive, and campers are challenged to identify and  capture the culprit, learning how detectives use observation, interrogation, and other tools while unraveling a crime that will rescue the campus icon and restore the fearless leader of St. Thomas spirit!

Campers at Crime Scene Investigation St. Thomas will learn to develop deductive powers while gaining an understanding to inquiry-based teaching, teamwork and problem-solving.  Each day they will learn a new technique mastered by great detectives such as Sherlock Holmes, then practice those techniques as they solve the crime, and then write about how you used the techniques and what you discovered in your very own detective journal.

And who knows what else our summer sleuths will discover along the way!

Summer Sleuth campers tackle design challenges with state-of-the-art tools at their fingertips in solving a problem, questioning, searching for traces of clues or even revealing the untold truth.

Through hands-on activities, campers will navigate from idea to tangible object, learn to design, build and program awe-inspiring work as a team to complete projects, and then test their 3D creations in a fun and socially engaged manner.

Engaging in competitive games, projects and puzzles expands young minds and excellerates brain development.  Researchers at University of California-Berkeley have confirmed that mental training exercises help students avoid the summer learning slide while enhancing cognitive and behavioral maturity.

Campers will take everyday items and transform them into extraordinary machines, construct mazes and discover their ways out and explore what it takes to keep their Martian colony alive with only a limited amount of supplies.

Campers learn to make high quality videos and become the next YouTube sensation while working in teams to create digital movies from start to finish using professional cameras, equipment and techniques.

Campers will explore essential broadcast journalism skills, news­-gathering and production techniques while utilizing the same Eagle Broadcast Network studio as STH students. These hands­-on sessions are led by STH faculty and will allow campers to enterprise their own newscast, record video, write and edit their stories, gaining valuable experience into other areas of television news in a fun­-filled environment.

Become the next great video producer, editor or television host. Gain insight on how to make an impact either in front of the TV camera or behind-­the­-scenes.

Designed to provide a fun, low pressure atmosphere where players can receive individual instruction to improve their fundamentals while developing a love for the game.

State champion coach Ryan Lousteau, who has led Eagle Baseball to two TAPPS state championships in four years and in 2016 to the program’s first national ranking in its acclaimed history, strives to offer the best learning environment possible. The commitment to excellence provides young players with the proper role models to build future success.

Personal player development emphasizes mental preparation and hitting philosophy, foundation and balance, hand-eye coordination, proper weight transfer, opposite field hitting, situational hitting, hitting with two strikes, all within the confines of historic Fr. Wilson Field, home to 24-time state champion Eagle Baseball.

All campers must be equipped with baseball pants or athletic shorts, bat, batting gloves, batting helmet if available, fielding glove, cap, cleats or athletic shoes.

Designed by Eagle state championship coach and former University of Houston track and field performer Nathan Labus with a focus on training paces, form running, nutrition and core development.

Campers from a full spectrum of experience and skill levels are encouraged to attend. From the very first session, our talented staff will identify the needs and goals for each camper and provide an experience ideal for each one. Training sessions are designed in small groups so coaches and counselors have more opportunity for one-on-one interaction with the campers.

Campers must be equipped with running apparel, running shoes, running watch, towel and water bottle, and be prepared for morning runs followed by classroom sessions and then pool workouts.

A limited coach-to-athlete ratio allows for individualized and small group/classroom instruction.

Join the Eagle Football staff for a proven process to program success and individual skill position development … quarterback, receivers, running backs and tight ends.

Position-specific coaches from Eagle Football conduct creative sessions featuring innovative drills and competitions to equip our campers with the tools to rise to the next level … proper throwing mechanics, route running, individual skill development, all with a sense of competitiveness and an emphasis on motivation and sportsmanship.

The quarterback position is the most difficult position to play in sports … and often the most under-coached. Build your confidence with the necessary foundation of fundamentals while having fun and becoming a better leader and communicator.

Camp will be held on Hotze Field inside historic Granger Stadium on the St. Thomas campus. All campers must be equipped with athletic apparel and athletic shorts. Cleats are strongly recommended. Campers may bring their own labeled football if desired.

This camp is fast-paced and combines skill sessions and scrimmages so athletes can crank up the tempo of their game.

A prime opportunity to fine-tune skills, grain a greater appreciation and understanding for the game while having lots of fun!

Camp will be conducted under the lights at beautiful Hotze Field inside Granger Stadium on the St. Thomas campus.

All campers must have appropriate lacrosse gear, including stick, helmet and protective gear. Cleats are recommended.

An accomplished staff led by Texas Rugby Union Hall of Famer Jim Wolfinger, Eagle Rugby state championship coach and program founder, along with acclaimed Eagle assistant coaches and professional guest coaches from Major League Rugby’s Houston Sabercats, build core fundamentals, skill development and tactical awareness in a supportive and fun environment.

This is a non-contact, no-tackling camp emphasizing positive character development, as well as the spirit of the game.

Camp will be conducted at beautiful Hotze Field inside Granger Stadium on the STH campus. All campers must be equipped with appropriate rugby gear, including athletic shorts, t-shirt or jersey, and mouthpiece. Cleats are highly recommended.

June 14 & 15, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Hosted by longtime Eagle Soccer head coach Kenny Martin and his varsity coaching staff along with former standout Eagle student-athletes now competing at the collegiate level.

Each of our instructors is selected for their specific expertise to comprise a balanced approach creating a challenging yet fun environment for learning. Daily individualized attention emphasizes technical topics, as well as small group tactical work and individual development including passing, dribbling, defending, possession and shooting.

We look forward to not only hosting our campers but starting a relationship which will continue in future years.

Designed by Eagle state championship coach and former University of Houston track and field performer Nathan Labus to teach, instruct and guide campers with the most cutting-edge techniques for the respective individual events.

Pole Vault instruction emphasizes event-specific training including the run, plant, swing and flyaway techniques.

Hurdle instruction focuses on proven running and hurdling form plus block starts.

High Jump concentrates on learning basic as well as advanced techniques in all phases of the event, including developing better bar clearance.

Triple Jump focuses on the approach run, planting and taking off, plus plyometric exercises for explosive movement, hitch-kick and hang techniques.

Training sessions are designed in small groups so coaches and counselors have more opportunity for one-on-one interaction with the campers.

Campers should be equipped with running apparel, running shoes, running watch, towel and water bottle.

This rewarding one-week camp for students entering grades 6-12 focuses on Public Forum Debate and is designed by acclaimed college preparatory faculty members to enhance basic oratory skills such as pacing, articulation and body language, all fundamental elements to deliver speeches and debate clearly, concisely and persuasively.

Whether a novice or experienced debater, all students are instructed with effective debate strategies rooted in logic and critical thinking, research and analysis, leadership and teamwork, rebuttals and summary.

The goal is for all campers to take ownership of their intellectual development, learn to read an audience and use creativity to persuade, as well as better express thoughts in academic work and college applications.

St. Thomas has assembled a team of renown instructors with deep expertise who have mentored award-winning results from the National Speech and Debate Association, Tournament of Champions, National Catholic Forensic League, Texas Forensics Association and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.

There’s no debate – gaining a greater command as a public speaker and the power of debate are increasingly valuable strengths for lifelong success. Let’s get started!

Texas Quiz Bowl Eagle Camp 2018-02-28T23:39:05+00:00

Partnering with the acclaimed Texas Quiz Bowl Alliance and designed to make each and every camper a better and brighter academic competitor.

Well-rounded, naturally curious students from a wide spectrum of experience and abilities participate in individual, team and subject-specific buzzer tournaments,  mostly fielding questions drawn from academic subjects spanning history, geography, science, and humanities with dashes of sports and pop culture.

June 11 – 15, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Cost is $625 per camper.  Lunch and camp t-shirt included. Camp is for rising 5th-10th graders. Coed.
